why am i here?

I think this is my 3rd attempt at blogging in the past few years, but I'm hoping it'll stick this time. I work from home (our lovely one-bedroom apartment in downtown NYC), and when I'm not reading, writing, or playing with statistics, I find that I have a ton to say and no one to say it to! My daily thoughts and musings run the gamut - from pop culture and fashion/style to current events and my observations around the city. If nothing else, this is a fabulous way for our family to keep tabs on what my husband and I are up to as we continue to get settled in our new metropolis home. Onwards and upwards!
